Artist: Family Force 5
Album: Time Stands Still
Alternative Pop/Rock band Family Force 5 are releasing their first studio album in three years, titled ‘Time Stands Still’.
Sometimes when you hear an album, you just know, and with this release the moment I pressed play, I knew this was going to be amazing!
The album thumps, bursts and smashes into life with Sweep The Leg. From the moment the rock/dance sounds enter the listener’s ear it is something else! The album will confirm to you that Christian music is not all about acoustic guitars and nice piano notes. Christian music can be gritty, modern, creative and exciting.
This album has the kind of songs you can play in the car to your friends without embarrassment or putting them off.
This 15 track collection is more about the album as a whole than any individual track. Saying that, Time Stands Still is a great pop/dance track, Walk On Water has some great vocals and a very catchy melody. Then there’s Glow in The Dark which has a colossus dance sound, as does Raised by Wolves.
All the tracks on this album have such energy you can not help but really enjoy them, if this kind of in-your-face dance/rock music is your thing that is!
As I said, this was an instant classic for me from the moment I heard it, and as I continued to listen to the whole album it just got better, more interesting, more crazy and the energy level never stopped. If you want something very different to Hillsong or Bethel then have a listen to this, you might just enjoy getting those dance shoes on.
